Ingredients:
- 1 lb cooked brisket, thinly sliced or shredded
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 4 hoagie rolls, split and toasted
- 8 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz for Philly-style)
Instructions:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter or olive oil.
- Toss in onions and peppers, cooking until soft and slightly caramelized (about 8–10 minutes). Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the brisket to the skillet and cook just until heated through.
- Lay slices of provolone over the meat and veggies, cover skillet briefly to melt the cheese.
- Pile the cheesy brisket mixture into toasted hoagie rolls.
- Serve warm with chips, fries, or pickles on the side.
