Brisket Cheesesteaks

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cooked brisket, thinly sliced or shredded
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split and toasted
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz for Philly-style)

Instructions:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter or olive oil.
  2. Toss in onions and peppers, cooking until soft and slightly caramelized (about 8–10 minutes). Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the brisket to the skillet and cook just until heated through.
  4. Lay slices of provolone over the meat and veggies, cover skillet briefly to melt the cheese.
  5. Pile the cheesy brisket mixture into toasted hoagie rolls.
  6. Serve warm with chips, fries, or pickles on the side.
